A magnificent horse - Cast aside after a successful racing career was cut short over the last fence at Cheltenham racecourse where he fell and sustained an injury that would see him ultimately en-route to the slaughter house after being tried as a point to pointer and then given away as teenagers hacking horse.

After being abandoned to be taken to slaughter by the teenager who had neglected him to a point of almost no return - he was just 10 years old. 

I heard about him and took him home to be put to sleep humanely. 

but after just 24 hours he regained a glint in his eye that said please give me a chance. 

We did and he made a remarkable recovery. 

The satisfaction of seeing this horse recover, when the vet gave him the odds of only a 5 percent chance - ultimately led me to realise my childhood dream of opening an animal sanctuary.
